Welcome to NZEX (Net Zero Emissions Expedition) - the energy storage vertical of Elecxion Energy, where we offer sustainable energy storage services as a solution.

NZEX is our flagship initiative focused on achieving Net Zero Emissions by 2030 through revolutionary battery technology, lifecycle management & virtual power plants. By integrating AI, IoT, and advanced analytics, NZEX aims to maximise battery efficiency, reduce waste, and minimise the environmental impact of energy storage systems.

We are on a mission “To develop & deploy cutting-edge battery technologies that ensure maximum utilisation, minimal waste, and a significant reduction in carbon footprint.”

Our Journey

  • 2019
    Our Journey begins

    We embarked on our journey in mid-2019, beginning with the development of an electric two-wheeler.

  • 2020
    Inception of Elecxion Energy

    successfully developed an electric two-wheeler prototype, and officially formed Elecxion Energy in July 2020.

  • 2021
    Major Pivot from Electric Vehicles to Battery Technologies

    Our major pivot happened in 2021, where we realized that within the electric vehicle ecosystem, batteries are the main component with numerous challenges, and we started focusing on core battery technologies.

  • 2022
    Prototype and Partnership Milestones

    • Developed and launched our Minimum Viable Product (MVP), conducting successful pilot projects.
    • Secured 2 utility patents and 1 design patent, validating our innovative approach.
    • Licensed our battery patent to Phot1 Energy, establishing our first revenue stream.
    • we were Recognized among the top 8 startups out of 389, driving climate innovation in the Youth Co-Lab program led by Atal Innovation Mission, UNDP, and Citi Foundation.

  • 2023
    Expansion and Intellectual Property Growth

    • We Secured over 15 patents, with 4 granted, highlighting our commitment to pioneering technological innovation.
    • We were deeply honored to receive the prestigious Deep Tech Startup Award at Infinity Summit Vizag 2023, recognizing our leadership in sustainable technology.
    • At the Nidhi Accelerated Program by IIMV FIELD, we proudly emerged as the top startup, underscoring our commitment to excellence in developing in-house battery solutions.
    • we have Successfully developed and integrated all battery components in-house, including assembly, BMS, analytics, and thermal management system, setting the stage for scalable deployment and market readiness.

  • 2024
    Gearing Up for Scale

    • With our patent licensing agreement now expired, we are focused on establishing our own state-of-the-art manufacturing plant to scale production of our innovative battery packs.
    • Having bootstrapped and fueled by revenue thus far, our journey received a significant boost with our first investment from STPI and Pontaq VC, validating our vision and bolstering our growth trajectory.
    • Currently, we are actively pursuing seed investments to propel our growth further, with our products primed and ready for deployment to meet growing customer demand.
